|MODELING THE EGYPTIAN AIR FORCE
|Mig-19(click this link to see the prototype).
The the Mig-19 was introduced to the EAF in the late fifties, probably 1958. Less light was casted on this airplane despite its significant contribution to the conflict between Egypt and Israel during the War of Attrition and the Ramadan/Yum Kippur War.
Those crafts were deliverd in bare metal finish which they kept for some time during the the sixties, however, after the 1967 war, like the rest of the EAF aircrafts, most of these airplanes were painted in a peculiar light gray base color and dark gray camouflage. In one photo this airplane was shown in sand and brown camouflage colors.
This model built in 1/48 scale and painted in late, probably, post 1973 scheme.
